Chris Drost

Nutritionist and Trainer

Chris Drost, our dedicated trainer and nutritionist, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our nutrition program. He holds a degree in Health Science with a minor in Nutrition from the University of South Florida and a Master’s in Exercise Nutrition Science from the University of Tampa. Chris also possesses a Level 1 Certification from Precision Nutrition.


With over 3.5 years as a strength coach at Diesel Optimization, he has worked extensively with professional athletes during their off-seasons, creating tailored nutrition plans to support their training. Chris is also passionate about helping individuals of all ages, including men, women, and children (ages 12 and up), work toward their nutrition and fitness goals.

At Diesel Nutrition, we offer comprehensive, personalized nutrition plans that are more than just meal plans. Our services include a minimum three-month commitment and provide:


  • Pnoe Breath Test: Essential for understanding your metabolic rate and customizing your nutrition plan.
  • Custom Meal Plan: Designed to meet your macro-nutrient targets and lifestyle.
  • Bi-weekly Check-Ins: In-person or via phone to ensure you’re on track and address any challenges.
  • Regular Weigh-Ins: At least three times a week to monitor progress and adjust as needed.

For those looking for alternative options, we offer remote nutrition services that include everything except the Pnoe device, which can be utilized if you come in for the breath test. Our programs are available in 3, 6, 9, and 12-month packages to accommodate your individual journey toward better health.


Pnoe Breath Analysis: The Gold Standard in Nutrition Assessment

One of our key tools is the Pnoe Breath Analysis Device, renowned for being the gold standard in measuring calorie burn. This innovative device provides essential baseline measurements, helping us determine how many calories you burn while offering insights into vital medical markers, such as lung function and cellular health.


During your first consultation, we will utilize the Pnoe device for approximately 10 minutes, combined with an intake form that gathers information about your background, medical history, dietary preferences, and training schedule. You’ll also start a food journal for the next 5-6 days to track everything consumed—food, drink, and snacks—to accurately assess your daily dietary intake.


In a follow-up consultation, we'll review the results from your food journal and the Pnoe breath test, collaborating to develop a customized meal plan that aligns with your specific needs and goals. This plan will be tailored to optimize your nutrition and fuel your training while focusing on the relationship between your breath test results and dietary choices.
